BONILLA

A 174 m² private villa in Mexico, shaped by a deliberate shift in level. The main volume is lowered by one meter, creating a gradual descent that frames the entrance and slows the transition from street to interior. A clear separation between public and private zones organizes the plan, allowing the living space to rise in double height—bringing light, air, and a sense of openness to the social core. Behind a calm and restrained facade, the house unfolds as a sequence of layered spaces.

"The house begins not at the door,

but in the act of descending into it”

"Height and compression working together

to shape atmosphere and rhythm”

"A quiet exterior

holding a spatial complexity that reveals itself gradually”
